A very large spider-like creature that inhabited the path of
Cirith Ungol in the Shadowy Mountains, where Frodo had to pass through during the Quest.
She was armed with venom, horns, claws on her legs and her body was covered in spikes. The
cup of the goblet depicts the spider’s web, an obvious reference to the creature. The
stem and base form the body of the spider and is sculpted in detail. |
